Tara Featured In Dr. Oz The Good Life

I’m excited to announce that I am featured in this month’s issue of Dr. Oz The Good Life!  It is such an honor to have been asked to share my story, however it is especially special to me for two reasons:

  1. The topic of the piece is about turning your life around.  Being in a place where you feel scared and stuck and then taking steps to create change.  This is the main goal I have with my clients.  I hope to empower them and give them hope that feeling better is within their reach.
  2. The article also goes into my very personal story.  How the loss of my mother to heart disease at the age of 11 literally changed every aspect of my life and is the driving force behind what I do today.

I hope that you have the chance to pick up a copy of Dr. Oz The Good Life this month and would love to hear your feedback!

  1. Great article! My dad died at age 52, it was such a big loss and he never got to meet his grandsons. Prevention is key and your story was very motivating,

Thank you for sharing it with us!

    1. Thank you Catherine. I am so sorry about the loss of your father at such a young age. It’s honestly just not fair. It is inspirational to hear that you are able to take such a tragic loss and turn it into a lesson about prevention. What a life changing gift for your sons!

  2. Hi Tara! I was a client of yours back in…I believe it was 2010. While at work, I saw this magazine resting on one of our tables and I pick it up, flip through a few pages and see your picture! What a fun surprise! Thanks for sharing your story.

I learned a lot from you during our sessions and am thankful for the information that you’ve shared with me. I have continued to pursue a healthy relationship with food. It’s been a tough journey, but a great one. Bringing down my body fat % was important to me (heart disease and diabetes run in my family). We I met with you, I had the desire to make a difference in my body, but was too lazy to put in the effort. I had learned a lot and “took notes”, but was not willing to commit. Finally after a few years, I was committed and unearthed the stored knowledge that you shared. I began to put the things I learned into practice and started noticing the difference in my relationship with food and the changes in my body. I was at 154 lbs in 2010 and have slowly but safely dropped my weight to 138 and my body fat percentage went from 30% to 23%! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and putting the efforts in helping me reach my goals.

    1. Eileen – it’s so wonderful to hear from you! You are so right that true change needs to come from the combination of intention, timing and tools. I couldn’t be happier that it all came together. What an inspiration you are! Keep me updated and you made my day 🙂
