Immune Boosting Elixirs

December 17, 2019

A few months back I talked about the top 3 supplements to boost immunity.  Still, even if you are doing all the right things sometimes a sniffle hits or a cough sneaks up on you.  That’s when it’s time to pull in the big guns to get rid of that cold.  Here are three of my favorite immune boosting elixirs!

Winter Immuni-tea

I love that this recipe uses simple and immune boosting ingredients that you may already have on hand.  Kimberly combines ginger, lemons, cayenne maple syrup and turmeric to make a tea that has a little kick but is overall enjoyable.  Plus there is a food pun in the name, and you know how happy that makes me!

Morning Immunity Shot

This uses some of the similar ingredients, but Laura adds elderberry.  You’ve probably seen elderberry as an ingredient on cough drops.  This is both because of its sweet flavor, but also because of its anti-viral properties.  Laura makes this as a shot so it is a quick and easy way to add a boost to your morning.  It is also the only time you will hear me recommending you start your day off with a shot ?

Maximum Strength Immune Booster

This one takes it to another level by adding in fresh garlic. Garlic is a powerhouse when it comes to immune boosting properties.  However, these properties are strongest when it is raw!  So, this elixir will not only repel the flu but vampires too. Luckily Cheryl adds in some honey and fresh juice so it actually tastes pretty good.
