5 Healthy Mocktail Recipes

October 23, 2024

Whether you are doing Sober October, Sober Curious, or just looking for a fun alternative to traditional cocktails, easy healthy mocktail recipes are a great addition to your recipe collection.

Although healthy mocktails get all the glory for the subtraction of  alcohol (which is a big deal) I always like to talk about what you are adding.  This can be more big picture, such as adding a healthy habit, adding connected conversations, adding a good night sleep, adding a beautiful and clear morning the next day, etc.  However, in this case, I want to highlight an ingredient in each of these healthy mocktail recipes that gives you an additional health boost. Because everytime you eat, it’s an opportunity to get both delicious and healthful into your body so let’s make the most of it!

Sparkling Blood Orange Mocktail

This recipe really capitalizes on the colorful blood orange and smooth vanilla for a quick and easy healthy mocktail that is great in the winter months.

Health Boositng Ingredient: Blood orange (or really any citrus) is in season during the winter months and packed with Vitamin C. This along with anthocyanins help fight inflammation and support your immune system.

Kombucha Mule

This might be the quickest and easiest healthy mocktail recipe on this list.  Really with just two ingredients (not counting the cool mug and mint garnish) this comes together in a minute and is incredibly refreshing.

Health Boosting Ingredient: Kombucha is a natural source of probiotics, which is the healthy bacteria that supports gut health, digestion and nutrient absorption.

Hibiscus Iced Tea Sparkler

Katerina does a great job of balancing out the tangy taste of hibiscus with the sweet of natural honey and brightness of fresh mint. Although I love it with hibiscus tea, this is a versitile healthy mocktail recipe that can be used with any fruity herbal of your choice.

Health Boosting Ingredient: Hibiscus has powerful antioxidents and is linked to heart health. Clinical trials have shown that three glasses a day can help with a slight reduction in blood pressure.

Cucumber Lime Mocktail

We take a break from all the bright red healthy mocktail recipes for something a little cooler and refreshing! The crispness of the cucumber combined with the brighness of the lime and mint make it as tasty as it is beautiful.

Health Boosting Ingredient: This recipe is all about hydration. Cucumbers are mostly water so this is a flavor packed way to sneak in more water.  This recipe also has electrolytes which helps your body actually use the water.  This is great for overall health but also wonderful for skin, hair and nails in the cooler months.

Rosemary Pom Spritzer

I may have saved the best for last because this is probably the biggest crowd pleaser! It takes a little more prep, because you make a Rosemary Simple Syrup, but it is 100% worth it. Traditial flavors and colors for the holidays and I promise you are going to love it!

Health Boosting Ingredient: Rosemary can improve memory and focus as well as mood. It can also help modulate estrogen pathways and remove extra estrogen.
