When we hear the word nettle, most of us immediately think of that pesky, prickly weed that takes over gardens and cuts up our fingers. But others regard nettle as a helpful plant that has been used for thousands of years to treat a variety of symptoms such as hay fever, inflammation, and IBS.

The primary way that nettle is believed to work is by slowly ridding the body of metabolic wastes and allowing it to run cleaner and more efficiently. Think of changing your oil to improve the mileage of your car. For this reason, nettle is often used as a natural spring cleansing tonic.

The most popular way to consume nettle is through nettle tea. You can simply put on some gloves and harvest the spiky nettle from your garden. Then, bring a pot of water to a boil, add the leaves and simmer for a few minutes. Finally, strain into a cup and enjoy.

Or, you can enjoy Salada Green Tea Metabolism. Salada combined nettle with green tea, peppermint, dandelion root and botanicals to create an invigorating tea. You can get all the health benefits of the individual ingredients, enjoy the delicious apricot flavor of the tea and save yourself a prickly trip to your garden!

And remember, a few small steps can lead to big changes.
