My Story
I wasn’t born a nutritionist – far from it. But I was born with a love of science. My go-to Halloween
costume was Louis Pasteur (seriously). I received my undergrad in Biology and started my career as
an analytical chemist with the goal of studying and curing disease. I began to notice that the diseases I
was interested in were mainly caused my lifestyle and improper nutrition.
At the same time, I got news from my doctor that if I didn’t start focusing on exercise and nutrition, I was going to quickly develop heart disease. I was now heading down the very path I had dedicated my life to avoid.
I read everything I could get my hands on — from fad diets to scientific studies -- but realized they all said different things or weren’t easy to implement. So, I decided to go back to school and learn for myself.
Once I cut through all the noise, I was able to reverse my own health problems, lose some weight, and feel energized in a way I didn’t know was possible. Now, I aim to help others translate complex nutrition ideas into their lifestyles simply and effectively.
